4th Birthday Party
Our team were approached to arrange a little girls 4th birthday party. An initial meeting was set up to meet the child and her parents and to discover exactly what she expected from her party! We discovered her likes and dislikes, from colours, games and food to characters! Extensive notes were written as we wanted to ensure that all of these things were covered when the party took place.
A princess theme was established and the initial plans were starting to be put into place. The parents knew the venue they wanted to use so a viewing was arranged to allow us to get a feel for the premises and to get an understanding of what was achievable in the space provided.
With the venue booked all that was needed was a follow up meeting with the parents to ensure they were happy with the itinerary that had been put together.
Two weeks prior to the party, all tableware, decorations, pass the parcel gifts and game prizes were prepared and ready for the day.
Continuous contact was kept with the parents right up to the event, confirming any changes we had made and confirmation of numbers (attendance of 31 children confirmed).
The birthday arrives! The venue was decorated with 4ft tall hanging Disney princesses, the tables were laid with the Disney princess tableware, and balloon bouquets on each of the tables. Entertainment included hand painting, arts and crafts, face painting and large floor games. There were lots of games played for the children to interact and have fun as a group; this included the classics pass the parcel, musical statues and musical bumps.
The children enjoyed plenty of their favourite party foods and refreshments before they went home – we even had tears as some of them did not want to leave!
After the event we collected all the handprints and birthday messages that we had helped the children do during their time at the party. We collated these in a booklet and presented this to the birthday girl when we met with her parents for a feedback meeting.
All in all, the event went very well and the most important thing of all – the birthday girl had an amazing time.
