Childrens Spy Party
This has to be one of our favorite parties so far. Our team was approached to arrange a Mystery Spy Birthday Party for a group of 9 and 10 year olds. Our mission was to train a group of trainee spies and then have them put all of their skills to the test and solve a mystery!
After meeting with the birthday girl and her parents we discovered that the venue had been booked but the rest was down to us! She made it very clear what she wanted and we were very excited and we could not wait to get started.
The venue was perfect as it had a huge kitchen and two separate rooms ideal for what we had in mind!
Four weeks prior to the party another meeting was arranged with the parents to ensure they were happy with the itinerary we had put together. Invitations were provided, including ideas of dress code and a special password that would give each child access to the party. Regular contact was kept with the parents right up to the event.
Each child received a themed invitation advising them to wear black and they each had to learn a secret pass phrase in order for them to enter the party!
We arrived at the venue just one hour prior to the party as the set up was minimal as everything was prepared in advance.
Upon arrival each guest was asked a question and had to repeat the secret pass phrase in order to gain access to the training program. Each trainee spy was given a secret agent name and badge and instantly had to get into character ready for the training to begin.
All training manuals were laid out on tables ready for the training program to begin. This included observation skills, code breaking, clue finding, fingerprint detection and much more. Once the training was over, food was served.
All trainee agents sat down in their places and our team, who each played their own role, went through the training manual and taught the agents’ secret codes and techniques for solving crimes! After they had all worked through their training either individually, in pairs or as a group, they went and had party food in a separate room. The main hall was cleared from being the training classroom to being the scene of a crime. The room was dressed, ready for the crime to be solved!
The agents worked together, reading clues and putting to use all they had learnt in their training, to solve the crime.
There were no winners or losers as the whole group worked as a team and encourage each other to work out each clue. Every spy had a great time and went home, each taking a certificate and t-shirt celebrating them becoming a spy! Each child came and thanked our team and expressed what a great party it was and how different it had been.
Most importantly the birthday girl had a great time, all her friends enjoyed a unique party and Mum and Dad took advantage of being able to join in with all the fun!
Our follow up meeting with the birthday girl and her parents was very positive but don’t take our word for it, read what she had to say herself in our testimonials.
